Editorial Policy

This policy explains how PhonicSpecs approaches specifications, reviews, ratings, sources, commercial relationships, and corrections.

Accuracy before speed

We aim to publish information that is useful, traceable, and clearly labelled. When sources conflict, we prefer manufacturer documentation and market-specific official information, then reputable local retailers or established secondary sources. If a fact cannot be verified confidently, we may leave it blank or label it as unavailable.

Sources

Depending on the subject, we may use manufacturer product pages, technical specification pages, official newsrooms, launch announcements, regulatory information, recognized retailers, and established technology publications. Prices are handled under our separate Pricing Methodology.

Hands-on testing and reviews

We do not represent research, source-based analysis, or specification comparison as hands-on testing. A review will state clearly if a device was physically tested by PhonicSpecs. Otherwise, the assessment is based on documented specifications, verified features, pricing, market position, and reliable published sources.

Editorial score vs. user rating

A PhonicSpecs editorial score is our independent editorial assessment. A user rating is calculated only from approved user reviews submitted through the site. We do not combine the two into one score, and we do not create fake user ratings or review counts.

Images

We prefer official manufacturer or manufacturer-newsroom product imagery where available. Images are selected to help readers identify the device and understand its design, colors, cameras, foldable states, or other relevant physical features. Product images remain the property of their respective rights holders.

AI-assisted tools

We may use software tools, including AI-assisted tools, for tasks such as organizing research, data processing, editing, or drafting support. Published factual claims remain subject to editorial review and source checking. AI assistance does not replace our responsibility to correct errors.

Commercial independence

Advertising, sponsorships, retailer relationships, and affiliate commissions do not buy favorable specifications, scores, rankings, or user reviews. Sponsored material, when published, should be identified as such.

Corrections and updates

Phone specifications and prices can change. We may update pages when new or better information becomes available. Material factual errors are handled under our Corrections Policy.
