TECNO Spark 30 Pro Review: AMOLED Value With a 4G Ceiling

The TECNO Spark 30 Pro is one of those budget phones that still looks unusually ambitious on paper even after newer models have arrived. Its combination of a 6.78-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, MediaTek Helio G100, 108MP main camera, stereo speakers, NFC and IP54 protection gave it a much stronger feature list than many ordinary 4G phones in its original price class. In Pakistan, however, the buying question in 2026 is no longer simply whether the hardware is good. PriceOye now treats the model as discontinued, so condition, remaining warranty and the gap to newer alternatives matter as much as the specification sheet.

Display and design: still the main attraction

The display is the Spark 30 Pro’s clearest strength. TECNO specifies a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel with refresh rates up to 120Hz, which is a meaningful step above the HD-class LCDs that still appear in cheaper phones. AMOLED gives the phone the deeper blacks and higher perceived contrast buyers expect from a more premium screen, while 120Hz makes scrolling and interface animation look smoother when the software and app support it.

GSMArena’s hands-on coverage of the Spark 30 Pro Transformers Edition also highlighted the AMOLED panel and found the under-display fingerprint reader quick and reliable. That matters because the regular Spark 30 Pro uses the same core hardware. The phone remains relatively slim for a 5000mAh device and carries IP54 dust-and-splash protection, but IP54 should be understood as everyday splash resistance rather than submersion protection.

Performance: capable everyday 4G hardware, not a gaming specialist

MediaTek’s Helio G100 is a 6nm 4G platform closely related to the familiar Helio G99 family. In normal use it is well suited to messaging, social media, browsing, maps, streaming, banking apps and moderate multitasking. The 120Hz screen can make those lighter tasks feel faster than the raw processor class might suggest.

The limitation is sustained heavy gaming. The Mali-G57-class graphics are not designed to compete with newer 5G mid-range chipsets, so demanding titles should be approached with sensible graphics settings. Buyers comparing the Spark 30 Pro with a newer phone should therefore separate ‘smooth everyday use’ from ‘high-end gaming performance’—they are not the same thing.

Camera: 108MP gives useful detail, but versatility is limited

The rear system is built around a 108MP main camera. That resolution gives TECNO room for high-resolution capture and crop-based zoom modes, but megapixel count alone does not make the phone a complete camera system. There is no dedicated optical telephoto camera, and the phone is better understood as a single-main-camera device with computational modes rather than a multi-focal-length photography phone.

The 13MP selfie camera is more conventional. PhonicSpecs has not performed a controlled camera shootout on this device, so we do not label daylight, night or portrait quality as independently measured facts. The safer conclusion is that the Spark 30 Pro offers unusually ambitious main-camera hardware for its class, while buyers who prioritise ultrawide or true zoom photography should compare newer alternatives.

Battery, charging and audio

A 5000mAh battery and 33W wired charging are adequate rather than exceptional by 2026 standards. The charging system is fast enough for routine top-ups, but many newer phones now combine larger batteries with faster charging. Battery health also becomes an important buying variable when a discontinued phone is purchased used.

The audio package remains a useful advantage. TECNO lists stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio support. Those features pair well with the AMOLED screen for video and casual gaming, even though they should not be confused with flagship-grade speaker output.

Connectivity and long-term value

This is a 4G phone. That is not automatically a problem in Pakistan, where LTE remains central to daily mobile use, but it does limit future-proofing compared with similarly priced 5G devices. NFC and infrared add practical convenience, while microSD expansion is useful for buyers who keep a large local media library.

The bigger 2026 issue is lifecycle rather than raw hardware. With PriceOye marking the model discontinued, the Spark 30 Pro makes the most sense as discounted old stock or a carefully checked used device. A buyer should inspect display condition, battery health, charging behaviour, PTA status and warranty rather than paying a near-new-phone price simply because the original specification sheet looks strong.

Is the TECNO Spark 30 Pro still worth buying in Pakistan?

Yes, but only at the right price. Its AMOLED display, 120Hz refresh rate, 108MP main camera, stereo audio and useful extras still form an attractive package. The counterweight is equally clear: 4G-only connectivity, modest gaming headroom, ordinary 33W charging and discontinued retail status.

If a clean Spark 30 Pro is meaningfully cheaper than current 5G alternatives, it can still be a satisfying media-and-everyday phone. If the price is close to a newer model with 5G, stronger update support or a faster chipset, the newer device is usually the safer long-term purchase.
