Apple iPhone 17e is Apple’s lower-priced entry into the iPhone 17 family, but it is no longer a stripped-down small-storage compromise. The compromises are deliberate. The display remains limited to 60Hz rather than the 120Hz ProMotion experience of the regular iPhone 17, there is no ultrawide camera, and the single rear-camera layout gives buyers less framing flexibility. For users coming from an older iPhone who value long software life, strong performance, good battery endurance and 256GB of storage more than high-refresh-rate scrolling or a multi-camera system, the iPhone 17e is one of Apple’s most sensible value-focused upgrades.
