Overview

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is Samsung’s top conventional flagship, combining a 6.9-inch QHD+ 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with flagship performance, S Pen support and a versatile four-camera system led by a 200MP main sensor. Its zoom setup includes dedicated 3x and 5x optical cameras, while the built-in Privacy Display adds a useful hardware-level option for limiting side-angle visibility. A 5,000mAh battery supports everyday flagship use, although some rivals offer larger capacities and faster charging. The S26 Ultra is aimed at buyers who want Samsung’s most complete mix of photography, productivity, display quality and long-term software support.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is one of the most complete premium Android phones of 2026.

Our verdict

The Galaxy S26 Ultra is one of the most complete premium Android phones of 2026. Samsung combines a sharp 6.9-inch QHD+ 120Hz display, an unusually flexible four-camera system, S Pen support, strong performance and long software support with a genuinely useful new Privacy Display. It is not a radical reinvention, and the familiar 5,000mAh battery looks conservative beside newer silicon-carbon rivals, but the overall package is exceptionally well rounded.

Buying advice

Buy the Galaxy S26 Ultra if you want one Android flagship that does almost everything well: photography, zoom, productivity, gaming, long-term support and stylus use. It is especially attractive for buyers who value Samsung’s ecosystem and the new privacy-screen technology. Skip it if your top priority is the biggest possible battery, the fastest charging or a much lighter phone; several Chinese flagships now push harder in those areas.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Galaxy S26 Ultra worth upgrading to from a recent Galaxy Ultra?

For S25 Ultra owners, the upgrade is mainly about refinements such as the thinner/lighter design, Privacy Display, camera processing and newer AI features rather than a completely new hardware formula. Owners of older Ultra models will see a larger improvement.

Does the Galaxy S26 Ultra still support the S Pen?

Yes. Samsung lists S Pen support on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, keeping it one of the few mainstream flagships with an integrated stylus-focused experience.

What makes the Privacy Display different from a privacy screen protector?

It is integrated into the display hardware and can restrict side-angle visibility when enabled. Samsung also allows it to activate for selected apps, notifications and credential-entry situations.
