The iPhone 15 Pro Max has aged gracefully. Its titanium design, 120Hz display, 5x telephoto and A17 Pro remain excellent, while slow charging and an older feature set are easier to accept now only if the price is substantially below newer Pro Max models.
The iPhone 15 Pro Max marked a meaningful shift for Apple’s largest flagship. Titanium reduced weight compared with the previous stainless-steel design, while USB-C finally replaced Lightning and the Action button added a programmable hardware control.
Its 6.7-inch Super Retina XDR OLED with ProMotion remains excellent, and A17 Pro still provides more than enough performance for demanding apps and games. Apple’s long software support means the phone has years of useful life left despite being an older generation.
The camera system also aged well. The 48MP main camera is joined by a 12MP ultrawide and a 12MP 5x tetraprism telephoto, giving the Pro Max better long-range capability than earlier iPhones. Apple’s video quality, stabilization and app integration remain major strengths.
Charging is the weak point. USB-C improves convenience, not charging speed, and many Android rivals refill much faster. The phone also makes less sense if sellers price it too close to newer Pro Max models. At the right discount, however, the iPhone 15 Pro Max remains a genuinely premium device rather than an outdated compromise.
