The Z Fold7 is the generation where Samsung’s book-style foldable becomes genuinely comfortable as an everyday phone. Its thinner design, excellent displays and upgraded main camera are major wins, but the 4,400mAh battery and 25W charging remain frustratingly conservative.
The Galaxy Z Fold7 represents the most important physical redesign Samsung had given its Fold line in years. The phone is dramatically thinner and lighter than earlier generations, which changes the everyday experience more than another small benchmark increase ever could. Closed, it feels much closer to a conventional flagship; opened, the 8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel provides the workspace Fold buyers expect.
Samsung also upgrades the main camera to 200MP, narrowing the photography gap between the Fold and the company’s Ultra phones. A 12MP ultrawide and 10MP 3x telephoto add useful flexibility, although the Fold still does not match the most ambitious camera-focused flagships.
