PhonicSpecs Review

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 Review: The Foldable Samsung Needed 9.2/10 editorial

The Galaxy Z Fold7 finally combines an 8-inch tablet-like display with a much thinner, lighter body and a 200MP main camera, making Samsung’s foldable far easier to recommend.

Our verdict

The Z Fold7 is the generation where Samsung’s book-style foldable becomes genuinely comfortable as an everyday phone. Its thinner design, excellent displays and upgraded main camera are major wins, but the 4,400mAh battery and 25W charging remain frustratingly conservative.

Buying advice

Buy the Z Fold7 if you want Samsung’s best multitasking software and a foldable that no longer feels excessively bulky. Battery-focused buyers and anyone who needs faster charging should compare HONOR, vivo and OPPO alternatives.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Galaxy Z Fold7 much thinner than older Fold models?

Yes. Reduced thickness and weight are among its biggest generational improvements and make it feel much more like a normal phone when closed.

Does the Z Fold7 have the same 200MP main camera idea as the Ultra line?

Yes, it uses a 200MP main camera, giving Samsung’s foldable a much stronger primary camera than earlier Fold generations.

What is the biggest weakness of the Z Fold7?

Battery capacity and charging speed are conservative: 4,400mAh and 25W wired charging trail several competing foldables.
