Overview

HONOR Magic V5 is a premium HONOR flagship built around a 7.95 main; 6.43 cover-inch 120Hz display and Snapdragon 8 Elite. PhonicSpecs lists 16GB RAM with 512GB storage, paired with a 5820mAh battery for everyday use, media and heavier workloads. A dedicated periscope camera gives it more useful long-range flexibility than digital zoom alone. It launched with its original operating system, while later features and updates depend on the manufacturer’s support policy and region. The main compromise is very expensive. Overall, it suits buyers who want a balanced premium phone with strong performance and everyday usability.

Our verdict

The HONOR Magic V5 is one of the most technically impressive book-style foldables available. It delivers class-leading thinness without sacrificing battery or camera hardware, though Samsung still offers a more mature ecosystem and broader support in many markets.

Buying advice

Buy the Magic V5 if you want cutting-edge foldable hardware, strong battery life and premium cameras in a very thin body. Samsung remains the safer option for users who prioritize software maturity, accessory availability and after-sales reach.
