PhonicSpecs Review

OnePlus Open Review: Still a Brilliant Foldable Formula 8.8/10 editorial

The OnePlus Open remains a compelling book-style foldable thanks to excellent displays, useful multitasking, strong cameras and fast charging, though durability and wireless charging lag newer rivals.

Our verdict

The OnePlus Open remains one of the most convincing first-generation foldable efforts ever released. Its displays, cameras and multitasking are excellent, but its IPX4 protection, lack of wireless charging and older Snapdragon platform now show its age beside newer foldables.

Buying advice

Consider the OnePlus Open if you find it at a strong discount and want a mature foldable experience with capable cameras and useful multitasking. Pay more for a newer foldable if water resistance, wireless charging, longer remaining support or the latest silicon matter.
